Welcome to Runes Wednesday. Each Wednesday, I will be offering a free group readings!
What are Runes?
Runes can be understood on many levels. But, for our purposes here, I’ll stick to an overview. Runes are letters that make up very old alphabets found predominantly in Northern Europe. These alphabets changed over time, through migrations, and changes in language. These alphabets were known as “futharks”. FUThARK is the first 6 letters: F, U, Th, A, R, and K. The runes I used for this Runes Wednesday is the elder futhark.
The word “rune” means “secret” or “mystery”. Each letter represents an aspect of early Germanic culture’s concepts. You can find runes carved into large rune stones, as well as in sorcery. What we do not see is hard evidence of runes in divination.
However, using runes for divination is a common runic practice today. I have found them to be invaluable, especially when reading for oneself.
What is Runes Wednesday?
Each Wednesday morning, I will pull three runes. To do this, I go into a meditative state, call on my guides, and say my personal prayers. Next, I select three runes. These are labels A, B, and C. A photo of the face-down runes is then shared to my various social media outlets.
Those participating are asked to get calm and take a few deep breaths. With a clear and calm mind, they look at he image, see which one they are drawn to, and write the letter in the comments section.
Later that evening, I post a video revealing which runes came up and an interpretation. I share that here, my newsletter, and my social media outlets.
Pick a Rune
If you don’t follow me on social media (and… ahem… why don’t you?), you can still participate. Just start the video, and you’ll have a moment to select the rune that calls to you. Then, just keep watching for your rune reading!
Here is this week’s Runes Wednesday reveal and interpretation.
So, how did I do? Drop me a line in the comments section. I would love to get your thoughts on today’s Runes Wednesday.
Private Rune Readings
Group readings like these are quick, fun, and I’ve had some great feedback from participants. Still, it’s group reading. It’s got it’s limitations. If you would like to schedule a private rune reading with me, check out my services listed in my Etsy shop.
